Newbie, drifting subaru

Hi.. I'm new in this forum and hobby.. I would like to share my finished project.

This is my third car I've built. Initially this is Tamiya Subaru Impreza 2004 WRC Rally Japan but I dun like the genuine wheel from box so I got Aoshima Racing hart, plug and lower them to this suby.

I tried to build it as a drift car. Please feel free to comment me thanks..

Thanks for looking..

I like the way it sits on the wheels. It seems to lean forwards, looks very muscular. What size are the wheel rims they look huge? Did you alter the suspension height at all?

Reply to stevenoble,
Thanks for comment. As tonioseven said, yes, they are Aoshima RacingHart 19''. I customised the front suspensions by replacing it with StripStyrene. Look picture:

Sorry a bit blurry.. =)

Re: Newbie, drifting subaru

I'm not sure WRC inside would match very well with drift car but you did a good job on the suspensions and the wheels and their position are really impressive and give a great agressive look to this Impreza !

That is what I thought to until the other day when I saw on 06 STI drifting. I am pretty sure that the front was not driving (connected) as this would cause extremely wide drifts. I don't know if you saw Top Gear much but when then tested the EVO 7MR he could drift it in a 200 foot wide circle. That is not at all tight enough for a drift course. I may be talking out of my ___ though?!

BTW it is a nice model, sorry to not comment. If this is a 2wd idea did you modify the chassis for this?

Re: Newbie, drifting subaru

Well, i believed that this kind of car do drifting if and only if it is modified to 2WD (rear). The other day I saw subaru drifting at D1GP video so yea maybe they disconnect the FWD. But I'm not pretty sure.. I dun really know about engine though >.<
No I didn't do anything to the chasis.. Make it as WRC car stock except the eksterior and a bit for interior..
Maybe I need to put more attention to detailing. Thanks for comment anyway.. =)
