so very frustrated

ok... i havent heard anything out of my subs for at least 3 months now.

originally, the power wire had fallen off and it was a hassle to get back on at the time. later that week i never got round to it because i was doing some interior work to my car and my stereo was out for the time being so getting the amp hooked up again never really became important.

when i got everything put back in my car, my deck had been fried somehow or another and it was about 2 weeks before i got it replaced. Once i did get a new one, i hooked up my amp again but the LED light didnt stay on. It would turn on and off as i wiggled the wire back and forth. So i disconnect the negative, retighten the wire so that its secure, connect the negative on the battery, and then i get nothing. No power whatsoever. Not even with wiggling the wire around. So now i think the amp is broken and i have to get it fixed.

About 2 weeks later, i take it into al-ed's and ask them to take a look at my amp for me and tell me whats wrong with it. I call back the next day and they say its perfectly fine. Everything works. Slightly confused but a bit relieved that i dont have to buy a new amp, i go back and pick my amp up. Next day i get out my voltmeter and start checking my wiring and i find out that my ground wire wasnt grounding. This confused me considering it had been working consistently fo at least 5 months. But i went ahead and relocated and re-grounded the ground wire and checked everything out. Power was going through everywhere. Now im thinkin "all-right, i can finally get back to some bass after so long." BUt i connect the amp, and alas, it doesnt work. No LED light pops on. I check the amp, put in a new fuse and ritighten all my wires again. Still nothing.

I am absolutely frustrated and confused as to what is wrong. Can anyone offer any advice, help, tips, of any kind?

find out where the power is stopping. start from the battery and go back, checking at every point where you have a fuse/dist. block, etc. or just connect the ground/12v to the amp and check the voltage at those points to see if power is making it to the amp. what happened to me once, was the fuse in the remote lead from the HU was blown. or just have a shop install it, then if it doesnt work, its their responisbility to make it work.
