AHHHHHHHH!!! Holy balls tits ass fucking guys! I havent slept in like 30 hours and I couldnt for another 30... I am so excited I am shaking. Heres the story.

As you all know, my Talon is dead. Spun bearing, duface previous owner. I bought my buddy's black '91 AWD Talon as a parts car. Then I have the Cavy as a DD, so I own three cars as of now. Well, I was out late helping my buddy rip the engine out of his MR2. I got home and did some stuff and was like fuck going to bed, I wont be able to get up for word at 6:30. Well, I was bored off my as and just parusing around the internet when I decided to check the classifieds on a MN based DSM forum. Theres a guy in there selling his silver-ish looking 91 TSI AWD for parts, its missing quite a bit.... all but a complete long block minus the turbo. Pretty cool eh? I see the milage, 179k. Then I was like bah fuck that, I was going to low ball him and see if I couldnt limp that high mileage of a motor for a while until I get the new motor built. Well wouldnt ya fuckin know, but I keep reading and its been rebuilt 15k miles ago!!! HOLY FUCKIN SHIT!!! I am so excited I could just shit! I am going to call him on morning break today at work and arrange the sale. Thus I am aquiring my fourth car, and oddly enough 3 are AWD DSM's none of which run! BUT once I can get down there and get it home, the engine will be pulled from it, put on a stand, the goodies from my other two cars are going on it, the Purple People Eater's spun ass motor is coming out, and the all goodied up motor is going back in!

Well some people arent made of money there Stevie... I do what I can when I can and trying to the whole college thing isnt exactly cheap.

BUT I AM STILL MOTHER FUCKIN AMPED! I talked to him earlier today, the shit is ready to go down. I just have to find a truck and a dolly by Friday... and make up some BS excuse as to where I am going for a day. Dollies are cheap though I think, and I bet I can use one of my coworkers trucks. The black car is junk, the silver car is junk, and the purple car is good. So now I will (literally) have one running car and two of everthing that could break. Oh, plus I am pretty sure the rims he is giving the car to me with are some cool aftermarket ones. The pics look almost like 17's, silver 5 spoke with thin spokes. In my eyes, a completely running long block minus the turbo (which I have already anyway) and a set of cool lookin rims for $500 isnt bad at all. More later, I have shit to do!

So I talked to my mom today and suprisingly enough she was a bit supportive of it! I am going upstairs in about 25 minutes to talk to my dad, I have a feeling he wont be as easy to win over. I think it'll end in one of these "its your money, but you know how I feel" type a things. Also my parents are going out of town this weekend so I will have access to the truck and a flatbed which will make things a TON easier. I have also been selling some extra shit lately so that is going to make the blow on the pocket book a bit more bearable. Tonight a new clutch disk and a oil pressure guage is getting ordered and thats all I am going to need to get it running! It already has a 2100 so thats tight, but I want a 6 puck sprung disk, they hold more power. Pics will come soon enough and I will be updating the shit out of my project thread. I'll edit this post when I know how the talk with the pops went.

Why don't you run the 2100 until you it takes a shit, or at least until you get the motor built that you want to run and then switch to the 6-puck being as the motor has to come out anyways. And it makes the blow on the pocketbook less bearable for the time being.

Well, the talk went horribly. I am still getting it, but he still thinks I am retarded and all that great jazz. I am going to work double over time on that bitch to prove to him that I am a competent human being and can turn a wrench. What I dont get is he has been a car guy his whole life and yet he still finds a way to show no understanding for me and my whole outlook on this. Oh well, I dont care. He can think/say what he wants and I am going to do the same. Anyway, updates as they come.

That how parent is man. In the end you gotta respect them no matter what. In my life and been fight with my parent alot alot of time, and they save my life alot alot of time also. Do you way , but still have to respect them, I knew you love your pop man.

Ok, cliff notes for Brian's lazy ass so far:
-Yay, getting parts car!
-How am I going to get it up here?
-Mom actually was supportive of the new parts car.
-Dad was the exact opposite
Thats pretty much the gist of it. So heres how today went...

I saw dad before work this morning, sort of awkward. We were going to go get it on Tuesady by they way. Well, I get to work and not 15 minutes into work today and I got a call from my dad asking if I wanted to go get it tonight. I was like "Hell yeah!" So after arranging to go get it all day today, dad and I left here after work for the car. The first like two hours were pretty silent and extremely awkward, though he wasnt hacked off that we were going. Eventually we got to talking and had a really great talk. Sure enough we get to the place and I see the car.

Its a 1991 Talon TSI AWD. So heres the sweetness of it... I pull up to his house and hes got two DSM's, one 1ga and one 1gb. I wasnt sure which one I would get... it was the 91 in that dark awesome sexy blue! I was like damn, I almost want to just clean up this car and get rid of the purple car! The blue car is too crappy though, horrible exterior though the interior is almost perfect condition. Well, I start firing off questions about it. Sure enough I got the ACT 2100 I asked for. I figured the disk was shot so thats why I was going to get the 6 puck. Well, the disk was very not shot, in excellent shape as a matter of fact... I think that clutch was put in with the rebuild 14k miles ago. It is a street disk but shit, my stock boosted 16g and FP2 car shouldnt shouldnt mess that up for quite some time. I keep poking around and he said I could take a 2g mani if I wanted it. So I get it and its ported like a BITCH. That thing is effing crazy! I still think I am going to use my FP one because the 16g wont flow enough air to make that necessary so its going to be up for sale soon enough. Taking a look at other stuff, its got a short throw so that is really cool. Also, its got a Walbro 255. I am sorta worried about leaning out so I am going to throw in that 255 this weekend. I know its not a good idea with no aftermarket FPR but I would rather be running too rich and too lean. The motor is in fucking excellent shape too, I am pumped about that. Oh, and I thought it came with 17's... it didnt. However it did come with some nice looking stock rims with some fat ass Toyo Proxes tires mounted and probably around 50% tread left. So thats tight too.

Tomorrow the black car gets picked over once more (exhaust, tail lights) and head to be crunched. I will also be stripping the blue car this weekend, I should have no trouble getting the motor out along with the short throw, pump, rear end, and whatever else I can think of. The blue car will get taken to the junk yard as well once its done. Sunday my dad should be back and then I think hes going to take the purple car to the shop its going to get worked on at. *Hopefully* the car should be getting back together and driving by Wednesday. I'll update my project thread with pics tomorrow. And Brian, just fucking read this one.
