McLaren F1

I am new on this so I need some help. I want to buy a McLaren replic 1/18 and I have two different options. Maisto and UT, What would somebody recommend to buy?, Maisto is cheap but in some cases the replics are not detailed, UT is unknown to me.
Thanks in advance for your advice.

Go with UT. They have a wider option of McLarens to choose from. Check out that first thread in here about good website and see Kevin's Hobbies. He has a wide selection.

Maisto is good too, but harder to find I believe now since they came out a pretty long time ago.

I have the maisto McLaren and the one thing that I don't like about it is the lack of brakes. I can't believe they didn't put brakes on the McLaren!!!!!!!! Maybe I'll have to find a way to fabricate some....

I don't recall any of my UT Mclarens has "brake details" (Unless of course the plain silver discs are consider "details").

Anyhoo, I believe the detail level between UT and Maisto Mclaren F1s are fairly close. You won't miss out anything by purchasing either. Also, anything Mclaren F1 is kind of hard to find now. If you can find either in "reasonable" prices, get it! On top of that, There are still some racing Mclaren F1s (Longtails) in 20 to 40 dollars range. They are great alternatives if you can't find the street versions.

Seriously, do you think the chance is high that some diecast model company will release some Mclaren F1 in the future? Especially Mercedes owns 44% of Mclaren right now and Mclaren F1 is essentially the Ultimate BMW.

BTW, Guiloy also make some Mclaren F1s.
