1997 a/c question

1997 Chevy Z71....is there a way to clean the evaporator under the dash without taking the dash out ??

I don't know what kind of cleaning you want to do but no.

well surely it has to be dirty from normal use i pulled the blower motor and cleaned it and it was filthy...dirt and dust everywhere

Try to get at what you can with a vacuum hose, otherwise its remove.
