Smile Blazer 4 Wheel Drive Shift Problems

I currently have a 1996 Blazer that blows fuses when shifting into 4 wheel drive, I can change the fuse and everything work fine for a while. any ideas? TCCM Module? Transfer case shift motor

Re: Blazer 4 Wheel Drive Shift Problems

You have a short somewhere in the system thats causing your fuse to pop all the time. It could be either, especailly if its intermittent like you mentioned. Is there any constant routine it pops the fuse? Like only if you switch to 4hi from 2hi or 4lo to 4hi etc, etc?

As your encoder begins to age it puts more of a amperage draw on the encoder circuit the wiring was not built to handle the load so it pops the fuse. You can swap your encoder or I think there is a TSB out for the wiring of the circuit.

DO NOT USE A BIGGER FUSE!!!
