04 monte carlo ss intimidator
hello all, im in the market for a new car. test drove an 04 monte carlo ss intimidator. i love it, has the 3.8 v6 sc with only 29000 miles. was wondering what kind of reliability/problems can i expect from this car? just out of curiosity, what does the "intimidator" insignia stand for. i have looked at other monte carlo's with the sc, and dont see a difference. thanks.

Re: 04 monte carlo ss intimidator
To the best of my knowledge the intimidator was the name of Dale Earnhart's race car. Chevrolet did a whole line dedicated to Nascar and a few of the top drivers. The car's reliability is as good as any other late model Monte Carlo. Your car has more "flare." I recommend reading through the various posts and you will get an idea of what the common issues are. I have read that having the "papers" on the vehicle to authenticate it's collectibility is a big deal among some of the Nascar collection Monte owners.
