Pics of B&G Coilovers for G20
Hi All,
Does anybody has any pic of B&G Coilovers for G20 P10 or P11? I like to check if the B&G kits for P10/P11 is as shown on the web site. According to European car magazine who tested H&R Coilovers which look like B&G kits (that have the tender springs and linear springs), such setup is the best for road ride and weekend racing. Thanks, p.s B&G group deal??? |

Also, do the B&G come with tender springs or helper springs?

George,
Thankyou for your offer, I would do that once i get my baby back from the shop. However, I hope she would be back today.... Oh about the B&G Coilovers, I have no idea what is the correct name for the smaller coil (tender spring according to the EC magazine) spring which the car would ride on during 'normal' driving condition. It would be great if you can shed more light on this kind of setup. There was a good write up of such coilover setup in the European Car maagzine. They installed a similar setup from H&R on a Volkawagen Passat, and the reviews were all positive. I do like to get a better feel on the GCs and AGX you got on your car. The last ride on the 375/275 spring rate was not bad at all! I will give you a call this weekend if I get my car back today. Thanks! Adam |

Tender springs have modest rates and have significant impact on handling, but does not really function as a traditional progressive spring. It's rather more complicated than that and I have to admit to not having sufficient understanding to speak with the knowledge I'd like. But I am sure of what I've said so far. Quote:

I once saw a movie called "The Wraith" which was about a haunted car. Kind of like "Christine" but the car was something like a black 80's Z28 I think. I guess many people here are too young to have seen those movies.
Do progressive rate springs have their coils tapering smaller near the ends? If so, I have them on the T4 - don't know if theyre standard or what. |
