87' 300ZX exhaust

i am going to purchase an exhaust system for my 87' 300ZX. i was going to purchase a borla exhaust until someone told me i could get more sound out a flowmaster and they're less expensive than borla. does anyone know what brand of exhaust would make the best sound with my type of car?

im running an 86t, and i have the borla xr-1 sportsman/race muffler with the dual intercooled angle tips, first of all, they look awesome, and the sound is phat. i havent heard a z31 with flowmaster before, but the borla give such a low pitch burble that sounds like a v-8 at idle. no joke. im not sure if ur looking for a lot of sound or what, the flowmaster has a more metallic sound, and is definately cheaper, although i dont know if the FM is t-304 stainless steel, thats prolly what makes the borla more expensive, i spent 200 for the setup, then i yanked my catty, and the turbo makes soooo much more whine, its great.

My neighbor just put a 40 series flowmaster on his 87 NA and it sounds like ass. I would definately go for the borla system. Flowmasters are for v8's and american muscle cars, not sporty japanese RICERS!!!:grey:

Chambered mufflers sound like shit on the Z31.

By the way, anyone want to buy a slightly used Flowmaster 40 series??
