i have a 79 silverado 1/2 with a 383 stoker engine. im buying a twin turbo kit for it but i just want to know if there are any problems i should look out for or things i will have to adjust? the main thing i want help in is how do i boost into the engine, ive seen both spacers below the carb the boost there, and ive seen just caps on top of the carb and boost there. is one better than the other and why? i only put in cast pistons and because its a 350 bored and stroked to a 383 i have higher compression, how much danger is there in cracking a piston because of too much boost, the twin turbo set up im getting is limited at 14.5 psi per turbo, so ill be getting 29 psi boost at top boost. and just any hints would be appreciated. thanks.

Re: chevy SB turbo questions?
I think it would be better to go through the carb. You will have to remove the choke to make it run right. I really don't know a lot about turbo charging but I am looking into a turbo too. I saw a book at the local bookstore about turbo charging, I just haven't bought it. Look at Spectres web site for the intake kits you can put together yourself, they have pipe, tubing, elbows etc. Dis you say you bought a kit?

Re: chevy SB turbo questions?
no, i know what kit i am going to buy, but i was waiting to get a little more information about how to do the intake before i baught it. ohh, and i am also talking to a guy and he says that the adavantage of boosting below the carb is that there is not the chance of blowing out my floats.
