Question 85 4.3 into 95 blaz 4.3 vin w

Topic 1 ..I recently got a free 95 (Vin W) blazer that needed a 4.3.(Rod Knock) I can get a motor from a 85 pickup with a 4.3 that a guy replaced with a 350. so here's my question.... All I should have to do to make his old 4.3 work in my 95 blaz is put the heads and intake from the 95 with the bad rod and strip the 85 4.3 down and replace with all the top parts from the 95? right? Do they have the same cam? the 85 has no balance shaft and no relucter wheel for the crankCan I just take the wheel off one crank and put in on the other with the timing cover with the sensor. And finally what push rods and rockers should be used? If they are the same length I feel I should use the same rods and rockers from the 95 heads. Am I on the right track. Any info would be appreciated before I begin all this work.

Topic 2 I should be able to the pistons and crank from one 95 4.3 with a cracked block and exchange them into a good 95 4.3 block that has a piston slap right? (assuming the rest of the block is ok)

Re: 85 4.3 into 95 blaz 4.3 vin w

You may run into a lot of problems from a 85 to 95.
In 86 there was a lot of changes in rear seals and flywheels and exc cranksaft valance pulleys..
Better check the old bone yard Hallanger intechange book before trying to swap it all.
Good Luck.
