1999 Intrique Fuel Gauge

I've seen a few threads about fuel gauge problems, but mine is a little different. It works fine until I get to about 1/4 full. Then the gauge pegs at full. Seems like it's probably sender. Anyone else fixed this problem? How long does it take to replace the sender? Any special tools needed?

Thanks
Al

Re: 1999 Intrique Fuel Gauge

That is what happened to my Tach for some reason it went to the very right and itstayed there. I removed the cluster and pust the tach needle to the zero and it worked perfect. I think after a while strange thing are happening I guess the cars are getting old very old
