1989 Instrument cluster

Has anyone ever had the problem of half of the cluster going out???I still have power to the three leads but no gauge reaction on the left hand side. Tachometer, Oil Pressure and Temperature gauges all show zero!! Could it be the circuit board or some other problem??? It's a 1989 yoda SR5 Deluxe with 22re, deluxe cab long bed. Does anyone have suggestions??? Thanks in advance!

A bad ground has been known to cause similar symptoms.

Re: 1989 Instrument cluster

Can someone let me know where exactly is the ground for the instrument cluster??? I've redone the grounds to the engine block I could find but the left side of the cluster still is not working. Are there two grounds to the cluster, one for each side of it??? Will a faulty ground to the ignitor cause this problem??? Thanks in advance

Hit your browser's Back button, look at the first thread (factory service manuals) and click on it.
