Retail is around $550. They weight a lot less than the standard hood. Probably around a 20lbs savings. Don't quote me on that however.

Carbon fiber hoods can make a car look good and make a car look bad.
Just gotta do it right. They have CF hoods for the P11!

henry perez owns a p11. he didn't have great things to say about fiberimages. i think his comments are on the cf group buy thread. i know leonard carlson, don't know his autoforum handle, used to for them. i don't know if he still does.

Yeah I heard some bad things from Henery about the CF hood from FI. Although I think they were just perfecting their technique. They may have corrected some of the problems Henery talked about. I know Mike Kojima from SCC loves them.

i heard they were good, but that was from a Honda car owner so i dont know. dont know if they favor hondas or something... but, in the test video of the car running over the hood. it is a P10.

is a mere 20lbs gain really worth it? i'd get a lighter weight battery and lighter wheels before changing the hood...unless you're going for the looks.
I know my G would be beautiful(!!!) with a carbonfiber hood as its midnight blue color. but wont match my tie an suit look for work.

Fiber Images should have a P10 hood out soon. As for the hoods I believe you can get them two different ways
1) full carbon fiber (my personal choice) or 2) I believe they use your stock framing, and then overlay a carbon fiber sheet over top of it. (but i'm not sure how this works, or if they can do it on a regualr basis?) There should be more details on the P10 hoods very shortly, I hope.
