2001 Civic - indiglo and z3 fender questions

Hi,
New to the board and new to customizing cars as well. Since the summer I've started to modify my 2001 Civic EX coupe. Tint, wheels, halo projectors, clear tails, front grill. My question is this: I installed the 6 color indilgo gauges, well there supposed to slide over the stock ones. There doesn't seem to be enough clearance between them and the needles. The tach and speedo seems to rub on the gauges, making them stick. Has anyone else had this problem? I even tried using double sided tape, and taping them down, but in a few spots they still stick.

Secondly, I'm looking into getting the Z3 fenders. Everywhere I've seen them the fender has a cut out for the door molding. On my 2 door, I don't have door modings, just a thin line that runs about 1/3rd up from the bottom across the door. Am I making this clear or just confusing you? I would appreciate any feedback and help with this as I'm new to this hobby and don't have a lot of peolpe to help me out. Thanks for any info.
Justin
