Cool 1988 Chevy Camaro

I am talking with a guy about a 88 camaro that has some problems with it. They are, Needs a hydraulic clutch hose. Im not sure what that is. Is that a big problem? it also has some wiring problems that need fixed to the fuel pump i guess they have the wire running straight to the pump so it will start. what do they mean by this. im asking the guy through emails but i am not sure if HE knows what he is talking about. he also said that the connection to the transmission may need fixed after he tried to use a similar hose. im just trying to understand if this is something that is worthwhile. he is wanting 400.00 for it. but if i can fix these things, then......... i appreciate your input. thanks

Re: 1988 Chevy Camaro

You have to see this car in person to make the proper determination.

There are common 'rot spots' that third gens are prone to and once they get started, it's very difficult to reverse

The hose issue is much like brakes, pressure for for the clutch movement is done by fluid versus a solid link to engage/disengage the clutch.

Electircal to the pump means something is preventing the pump to operate under it's normal design (and proabably for good reason). You can by pass a bul of the circuit by putting a jumper in. This is also cause to go look at it because where there is one hack job, there's bound to be another.
