Really, really noisy rear suspension

The rear suspension creaks like no other - what's the best way to quiet it? Anytime I got over any kind of bump, it creaks, and if I press down on the back from the outside, I can also hear it.

Spraying WD40 around in there wouldn't harm anything?

Nope...wd40 is just a lubricant and rust "breaker". It won't harm anything.

wd-40 wont do anything but gather dust and dirt, try bouncing your struts, noise may be from them...

I would have to disagree with you. WD40 is a cleaner more than it is a lubricant. Its great for lubricating the hinges on the door to your bedroom but for your car stick to real lube stuff.... It may quiet those bushings down a bit though. I would check the hatch first. The hatch is usually the main cause of squeaks in 4th gens.

Hmmm...I use wd40 to lubricate stuff all the time and it works just as well as any other product I have used

WD40:

PENETRATES: WD-40 loosens rust-to-metal bonds and frees stuck, frozen or rusted metal parts.
LUBRICATES: WD-40's lubricating ingredients are widely dispersed and hold firmly to all moving parts.
PROTECTS: WD-40 protects metal surfaces with corrosion-resistant ingredients to shield against moisture and other corrosive elements.
CLEANS: WD-40 gets under dirt, grime and grease to clean. It also dissolves adhesives, allowing easy removal of labels, tape, stickers, and excess bonding material.
DISPLACES MOISTURE: Because WD-40 displaces moisture, it quickly dries out electrical systems to eliminate moisture-induced short circuits.

Any idea how much a pair of struts would cost?
