I have a '96 Jetta GLX, I am in the process of getting it all fixed up again, one item that needs repair is the cruise control, it stopped working...
I have no idea where to start on this, fuse, switch, wires?? Has anyone had trouble with their cruise control stop working? How did you go about fixing it? Any help/ideas would be much appreciated!!! |

Re: 96 GLX Cruise Control Problems
I am familiar with the cruise for a 91, but providing it's the same:
It uses it's own vacuum source. The switches on the pedals actually break the vacuum and are not electronic. They have seals that can wear out. Check to see if the vacuum is good, then check the seals. On the 91 the controller is on the backside of the center console. |
