2001 sonoma tranny prob.
i drive a 2001 gmc sonoma with a 2.2 four cyl.and a 4L60-E tranny. the transmission has developed a delay when trying to shift from second to third only. first to second shifts fine and third to fourth shifts fine. there is no slipping and about 75% of the time it won't shift back down when slowing down or stopping unless u shut it off. i've had it in the shop and they replaced both shift cylinoids, everything in the valve body, replaced or rebuilt the internal drum and the three four clutches. in the end none of that fixed it. He says i have a low pressure rise problem that it is only reaching 80 to 90 psi instead of 120 or 130 psi and that i need to reflash or replace my trucks computer, does this sound right to anyone????

Re: 2001 sonoma tranny prob.
Well that should have been checked to start with.
But what does the transmission scanner say about it? Any codes or bad readings on shifting?

Re: 2001 sonoma tranny prob.
there were no shift codes at all and the only other codes were the two to three shift cylinoids.

Like what code no?
How do you get no codes and the only other codes were the 2-3 shift solenoids? I would say that was your problem to start with. Recheck codes and post back all code no.

You might want to run away from that shop.
