ferrari f2001

hi,

i'm currently building the tamiya 1/20 f2001 model. i'm having problem in placing the metal stickers on the suspension as the manual doesn't give the exact length on how much to cut. may i know the exact length on each part? or do any of you have another idea on solving it such as painting?

thanks.

Re: ferrari f2001

I would look at these reference photo's of the F1-2001 here http://www.gurneyflap.com/ferrarif2001.html
Then try to match it the best you can.

Here's my

1. Test fit a piece of paper and trim until you are happy when compared to your reference pictures. Once happy, measure the dimensions and cut out you metal transfer to match. You could trace around the paper template on the back of the metal transfer sheet... remember to reverse it though

2. My experience with the kit supplied metal stickers with the FW24 was that they were WAY too thick and as a result you end up with white edges and a very obvious step. I'd recommend using BMF for the heat protection on the rear suspension as it is much thinner. Judging from my F2000 references you need not get all the creases out either as the application on the real car was not entirely smooth.

Hope that helps,
Bill
