input shaft

I bought a used 5 speed tranny for my 93 ranger and there is a little play in my input shaft is this normal? there are not any leaks in the seals. the output shaft does not have any play in it at all. it goes into all the gears, everything else seems to be fine.

Should be OK. Just be a little bit more observant on how it performs as you drive the truck.
