Unhappy Problem with starting

I am hopeslessly in love with my 1996 SE and everything was great until about 2 weeks ago. For the first time it didn't immediately start when I hit the ignition switch. It took about 10 minutes, but finally started. Then about 3 days ago the same thing happened. I went out to go to work this morning and it wouldn't start at all. It will turnover, but will not start. The first time this happened I went back and changed the plugs and fuel filter. I thought that fixed it, but it hasn't. I'm guessing it may be the fuel pump. I need help!!!!! I really like my car and want make some mods, but that won't happen until I'm sure it's completely mechanically ready.

theres a lot of possiblities that can cause , heres a few: faulty fuel pump, damaged timing belt, defective maf sensor, battery terminal connections loose, try giving those a shot, i have a 98 maxima se and i 2 sometimes have this problem. mines a starter problem though i'm pretty sure.
