I asked this qustion on the turbo forum also but didn't have any responses so im trying my luck here. For those of you who have made your own turbo kit, which manifold did you use? I have a garrett t3 with an internal wastegate, what manifold is good to use on a 98 civic? I hear that the crx hf manifold is commonly used but never have a read anything about wether or not it'll work with the a/c or not.
If you know anything please let me know Thanks |

You can use an HF manifold, but it must be ported to flow enough to be efficient with a turbo. I believe you can also use a VX manifold but im not sure. You need an exhaust manifold that has the flange right on the bottom instead of long runners and a downpipe.

I knew the hf manifold could be used for turbo applications but wasnt sure if the engine compartment allowed proper clearance so that I could keep the a/c. That's my only real problem. I want to go faster but I love my a/c as well
