2003 Town Car dash inoperative

My 2003 Town car is out of warranty and my dash started doing some weird things. First off the odometer only shows ------ and the speedometer doesn't work. along with this cruise doesn't work, ABS and traction control light and red brake light are on. Also where it supposed to show in digital my gas mileage it also shows ------ Also when my dash is not working........when I put car into gear the doors don't lock like they are supposed too. Hopefully somebody in here can help me out. I have searched high and low on the internet and talked to people but noone really seems to know what the heck it could be. One person in another group was talking of a ground wire but never went into detail where I might find this ground wire. The dash only works for maybe a grand total of 10 minutes per day and no real certain time.......just whenever it feels like it.

thanks ahead of time for your help!!!!!
