SI brake upgrade

Hello my friend and I were digging through his garage and found some old 94 civic SI hubs and brakes, Are these brakes better than my 89 STD brakes. Will these brakes fit my 89 and what axles would I use. Also what mods need to be done to make them fit and what all is needed.

Re: SI brake upgrade

I would like to know too.
I dont think so tho, never hear anyone trying.
I know that the 90-91 EX work you get 10.5" discs!!!!
I read that integra 2gen work, but have some issues with upper arm angles.
Anyone know for sure?

Re: SI brake upgrade

90-93 tegs swap perfectly over onto a 4th gen civic/rex. i have a complete 92 teg brake setup on my 88 rex dx. as for the 94 Si, not positive, but pretty sure they will swap over fine w/ the stock axles. haven't tried, but my bro and i were comparing his 93 dx and and my stock hubs and everything looked like the hubs were interchangible. so i'd imagine that if u can swap the 4th gen dx onto a 5th gen dx, then u could swap a 5th gen Si onto a 4th gen dx/std. anyone care to second me on this?

Well I have a four speed, so the hubs have a different number of splines than the dx/lx/si. So what I am wondering is if I had axles from a 90 dx 5 spd would they fit into the 94 SI hubs and would the brakes swapover.

Re: SI brake upgrade

just use your old hubs, alot cheaper and should just bolt up, most parts from 88- 2000 are interchangable with a few exceptions, just bolt up the calipers and rotors

I can't use my old hubs I am swaping a b20 at the end of the month. The 4spd/hf hubs are different from the dx/lx/si hubs.

Re: SI brake upgrade

Red your spline count is for the tranny, not hubs.
