When to Stop Putting $ Into Sienna

I have 150Kmiles and, except for an expensive transmission replacement just recommended by the dealer, it's been a great vehicle. Still, I've never kept a car this long (it's a 2000 Toy Sienna). Does anyone familiar with these vehicles have any advice? Does a $3500 transmission repair make sense? Thanks very much.
