Moonroof diagram?

When I bought my Lincoln the moonroof was duct taped over the open vent.

Seems like it broke in open position and was leaking so they taped it shut.

If anyone has a diagram of the 94 Lincoln moonroof i would appreciate it. Hot weather melted the duct tape and now I have to fix it.

Could be a manual closing method, i dont know. My manual has nothing in it and this time i'm not waiting til the clouds start forming before doing something.. This time.

I've heard it's common for the position switch(s) to go bad. Supposedly, they get so bad they can't be cleaned, and the replacements are inexpensive.

Have you looked in the 94 Service CD?

Thanks for the tip Towncar. Havent checked the service CD cause the car has a cassette player LOL. Is it available online somewhere? What would be the cost or is there a donation involved? Chilton manual has already paid for itself a few times so cant be bothered that it is no use on this one.

If the switch was saying the top was open I would think the motor would run when close button was hit or vise versa.

Its on same circuit as power windows so Im pretty sure there is not a power issue.

Thanks for the link Towncar went right there and got the download (easy part) Downloading all the other stuff and changing this with this and that with that to get the cd to work was more than this simpleton could handle.

Imagine if he offered burned cd's there would be piracy issues so it has to be that way.

For the forty bucks it cost new online i think that is the way i have to go.

Its on the hard drive of my computer. Can it be accessed without being on the cd? Did you do all the downloading for yours and get it working? If so

moez, if you're having trouble after the download, I believe I can walk you through the installation. The ISO was zipped, at about 200mb then this one unzips to about 308,496kb as an ISO file. If you dont see the .zip or .iso file extensions, that would be because you have your PC set to not show file extensions. It is a PC right? No MAC? That final ISO can be burned to CD, or mounted using a virtual CD software.

It's not mandatory to actually burn the ISO to a CD, but it is mandatory to have the CD (or ISO) available for your computer to run the Factory Service program's databases. What most of us do is keep the CD ISO's on our hard drives, then virtually mount them (sounds dirty ) so that the computer thinks their available in a CD tray. Alternatively, you'd have the actual CD in an actual tray.

I can elaborate on this virtual CD process if you'd like, but it's also very well known, and all over the internet.....
Well OK; ...basically we use a free software, many of them available, tell the software how many virtual CD trays we want, and those 'drive letters' are reserved and available to 'mount' a CD ISO. I'm told that WinVista does this without additional software, but I don't have direct experience with WinVista. My favorite, highly recommended for Virtual CD's is:
Slysoft's Virtual Clone Drive , the download and usage is completely free, no bullshit adwares or spywares, completely supported, and easy to use.
(I sound like a salesman for Slysoft )

Slysoft has some other fantastic CD and DVD software, highly recommended as well.
The others are low cost and lifetime supported.

They say you cant teach old dogs new tricks. I dont believe that for a second and I have a CD to prove it.

I do believe what goes around comes around. Not fast enough for the bad guys and many times for the for the good even longer.
