Problem with heat??

Hello I have a 1998 ranger 4x4 4.0 liter.. my problem is the heat is always on, no matter where the temp dial is, and the only way the a.c. works is on max cool anybody out there got any ideas??? thanks, Bob...

sounds like it is a bad heater control valve.

i have a 93 with the cable system. so i dont know exactly. try an online Manuel like autozone.
