Does anyone know if roll cages can be reused? My husband drives a Porsche in hornet dirt track racing. He wrecked his car & proceeded to cut the top off & pull the cage out in one piece. Will it be possible to reuse this cage in another car? It is the same vehicle year & model.

Re: Reusing roll cages...
I wouldn't recommend it. It could look undamaged, but depending on the type of wreck, it may of been tweaked and the structual integrity of the cage itself might of been comprimised.
I've never heard of anybody reusing roll/safety cages, and it's probably for a good reason. .... Hmm reusing a roll cage... It's kinda like how you don't reuse a condom, sure it looks fine and all... but do you really trust it?

I wouldn't ever reuse a roll cage though, that's just dumb.
