I thought for once I would post a good experience about Ford since we mainly read about problems here. The front driver Coil Spring on my 2001 Taurus SE snapped Saturday. I knew Ford had the extended warranty but thought for sure I would get the run around with them. I brought the car to the local Ford dealer where they determined my spring did indeed snap and resulted in damage to my cv axle, sway bar, sway bar links, and ripped the tire. (All this damage at 10 mph!) Well the service department took some pictures and sent a report into Ford who agreed to pay for everything. Even the tire (the recall to have the shield installed was never done so I didnt think they would pay for the tire). All I have to pay for is a new matching tire on my passenger front. I should have my back in 1 day.
I just thought someone out there would appreciate a thread about a good Ford experience.
