oil amount for 4.3

i have a 95 k-1500 with a 4.3 v-6 and i was wondering how much oil needs to be added to get it from the add mark to the full mark on the dipstick. hopefully someone here knows what the amount is. thanks

Depends on dip stick. And how you use it.
That is one thing that never has been improved on.
Stick it in one way and it may show low and turn it over and it may show somethings else.
Best is to check cold before you start it and if it says low add a little till it says full.

Almost all vehicles are 1 Qt. add to full. I'd almost guarantee that yours is. When you get the different levels on opposite sides, go with the lower reading.

Exceptions are big engines (I've seen 5 Qt. add to full on a big diesel) or small engines (.5 Qt.)
