coolant sensor location

Does anybody know how many and the location of the coolant sensors on a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 4L- 6cylinder. I replaced one in the thermostat housing but the auto parts store told me there were two. I bought the second one but can't find it on the engine. I get a message saying my coolant sensor is bad.

Re: coolant sensor location

I don't know exactly where it is, but to give you a generic location, I would say it's at the bottom of the coolant tank. If you look underneath the reservoir, you'll probably sea electrical wiring mostly likely for the sensor.
