Question O2 sensors and engine check lights

The other day I was driving along and the engine check light came on. I have I/H/E and a high flow cat. I know it has something to do with one of the 3 O2 sensors, but I can't seem to fix it. Besides tightening the gas cap and diconnecting the battery, does anyone have any advice for me? What are the dangers of driving with the engine check light on? I'm going to check the O2 wiring I did when I installed my high flow cat. Other than that, I can't think of anything else.

I have one in the intake, one in the end of my header, and one at the beginning of my high flow cat. I know this sounds stupid (that the two emissions sensors are so close together), but it worked just fine for about 2 months. I checked the connections and I honestly can't figue out what's wrong.

What you can do is get an o2sensor change out the first one not on the intake but on the header and reset the ecu and see if the light goes off. If it doesn't then pull it out and put the old one back in and then change out the other o2sensor and then reset the ecu if that still does not work then it is not an o2sensor. Then you can take the o2 sensor back to where you bought it from.

jump your ecu and get the code. if its the primary your gonna have to buy a new 02 sensor, if its the secondary leave it in the bung and splice it (harness) inline with the primary.

p.s. you have two oxygen sensors, the thing in the intake tube is called the intake air temp sensor and is not to be confused as an o2 sensor. technically you only have one seeing how the secondary only reads if the catylast is functioning correctly
