laptop tuning ecu?

is it true that you can tune a standard ecu with a laptop in a r32 gts? someone mentioned it to me today that they had done it, but i don't beleve them...

I wouldn't believe him either. Ask them how they connected the laptop to the ECU to start with.......
You can get a rewritten chip, but need special tools to do so...

yeah i thought that was th case, i've had th whole interior out of mine, all the dash, everything, and i didn't notice any plug or port on the comp. it was under the glove box apparently. the car that he had it done on must have been fitted with an after market comp in jpn.
