shift kit or chip

I got a 96 s10 4.3 vortec with 4l60e and want to trip second with 3.42. Any one know if a B&M shift kit is easy to install or should i go with ShiftPlus electronic Shift Improver. Anyone use these items.

shift kit is not that hard but not sure about the electronic kit but a stage 2 strip kit with 3.42 will catch 2 nice
