Cassette Adapter stuck in stock 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee head unit
We were using a cassette adapter to use the Ipod in the car. Tried to eject it the other day and it didnt pop out. This happened once before and I used a small screwdriver to force the tape out. Tried to force it out with a small screwdriver again and it got stuck in the up state with the left corner up higher than the right corner.
Is there anyway to remove this tape? Do i have to uninstall the head unit to get the tape out? Can anyone walk me through how to uninstall or another method I can use to get the tape out. Any other info is appreciated. Picture of the stuck tape is attached |

Re: Cassette Adapter stuck in stock 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee head unit
From the pic it looks like you should be able to slide the small screwdriver under the cassette itself and pry it out. I can certainly understand your frustration. Hell, I'd be smacking the dashboard until the thing ejected. If you need to remove the player it shouldn't be that diffcult. The 98s you have to take off the dash panel (like 8 screws) and then unscrew the stereo itself. I'd imagine the 99 dash panel/stereo setup is not much different. I would keep working with it and hope you didn't break something. GL
