Unhappy Moment of Silence

Let us have a moment of silence, as a beloved RSX-S has died. Mine was clipped by a driver running their red light perpendicular to us, at full speed.

Re: Moment of Silence

I am not sure. I test drove the Fit and wanted to like it, but at my height I felt...not cramped, but not in the right driving position...and I was otherwise uncomfortable. It just didn't feel right. Speed isn't a big deal for me, but handling and right-for-me feel are. The RSX-S is by far the best feeling car I've driven, and that includes some much more expensive cars. I'm thinking a Civic Si coupe, but I don't know. My back hurts too much from the collision for me to really test drive properly. I would post a few picture of the wrecked car if I could figure out how to do that.

Lucky me, I never had that dash rattling problem. I had the common transmission shifting problem (didn't go into third right) which the dealer fixed up. And I never liked the original tires, but once I put the Eagle F1 GS-D3 set on, I was very happy.

Really, what I want is my old car back. It was almost out of warranty, and I was going to put an A-Spec suspension and body kit on. But I don't want to buy someone else's used RSX for concern that it may have been in an accident before (even with Carfax, can't be sure). If it was just me, maybe, but my wife travels with me all the time, and I won't risk it. And she loved the RSX-S too.

Re: Moment of Silence

Sorry to hear about your car - and you back. Glad your injuries weren't any worse than they are.

I've been very happy (well, most of the time) with my used RSX, purchased in Jan. '05 @ 35K miles.

I say happy most of the time because I've had some of the common RSX issues - 2nd gear grind, dash rattle, moonroof frame rusting, etc. - and at least one uncommon problem - starter dying.

None of which seems to be related to the car being purchased used.

Smile Re: Moment of Silence

For anyone who is interested, I got a chance to drive the Fit Sport with a manual transmission, and we decided that's the right replacement car. We're waiting on delivery of an orange one, as it's my wife's favorite.
