no vtec

i have a 97 ek9 with a 97 prelude swap...but the biggest problem is that i have no vtec...car runs fine but theres no vtec at all...tried different harnesses ecu's ect...but still no vtec...any help or ideas would be great....thanks

It could be a number of things. Is your oil level ok? Any dents in oil pan? Loose grounds? wired up correctly? i had just done an h23-h22 swap and i had no vtec either. it was due to wiring that we needed to splice into harness because we couldnt find the wire in engine bay anywhere. after that. i swapped ecu's and i run fine now. vtec and all. hope i could help
