Car shut off because I blow the BOV pipe ?

My 1g adapter came today, then I install 1g bov on 2g stock UICP, test drive boost it around 12psi, I heard a pop then the car shut off, pop the hood then find out my bov is came loose from the pipe. Is this normal or I hit a fuel cut ? how can I make my 1g adapter thicker ? put some hose on ?

I heard the BOV is blow out the pipe. I think the reason it blow because the adapter pipe is smaller then the hole on the stock pipe.

Yea Killa. I had the same thing happen like a year ago. An easy fix is get black electrical tape and wrap that around a few times until you have to use a little muscle to get it to go in. Then just hose clamp it down really good and you should be fine.

why the electrical tape? can't you just get a better fitting clamp?

Electrial tape is cheap and easy.

the bov keep slip out after I boost pass 10psi, the the tape make it easy to slip out . any other ideal ?

I dont know how it could make it slip out more, if you increase the diamater of the part going into the flange of the uicp then clamping it down tighter should be easier... and the tape will indent a little when clamed which should give it a lot of grip, worked great when i had the stock uicp..
