Supra vs Skyline

Which is faster a supra fully modified or a skyline fully modified, I mean the works everthing you could possible do to improve their speed. Which would be faster?

and you have to be more spefic... what do you mean by faster.. do you mean e.t. times of road racing.. street legal or race car??

Turbo2nr is rite. this thread leads to no where. I really think the Sky GTR34 would win 1/4 mile, Supra gots the Topspeed, i c it this way

GTR34
1300 HP, lightweighted, best of every modded part.
0-60: 1.3xx sec
0-100: 4.2xx sec
1/4: 7.xxx sec
Top speed: 26x.xxx mph

Supra TT
1300 HP lightweighted, etc...
0-60: 2.xxx sec
0-100: 4.xxx sec
Top Speed: 270 mph

that's all well but noone is considerin the driver if one driver is better then they wud probably win if the cars were so equally matched. as i sed in my previous post i thought the supra wud win purely through the reputation of modded supras but by the looks of modded skylines like the one in 2 fast 2 furious they are QUICK. if ure stats are right it wud be a clse race!

well well well you can t go anywhere without this question popping up. given all things equal in a 1/4 mile race the cars are equal. think about it. the skyline is normally a rwd til the car detects slip then it begins the give just enough power to the front tires so that the rear tires grip. so if both cars have slicks on, the skylines awd would be more of a downfall than a benefit. the drivetrain after the first 20ft will just be a drag on the motor. diminishing hp and tq by just a lil bit. but the supra has no such loss. so it actually would produce slightly more power pushng it faster to make up for the loss off the line. this is why 1000+hp supras and skylines run damn near the same ET's. this is also the reason that the supra has a better top end. along with slightly longer gears the engine doesnt have anything holding it back. once the skyline is off the line the awd factor is useless.

ok, I own a 94 TT Supra, after seeing what both cars will do, and you can if you ever go to Japan. The skyline will completely eat a supra for major reasons. 1 AWD (If you don't know what that means you need to be shot) 2. The fastest of ethier cars uses the others motor 3. Japanese specs for safety on their cars is much more lenient than the US so you do the math, top speed is a question, but 1/4 mile the skyline will kill a supra, use common sense.

I'm from the Middle east and we have both GTRs and Supras. supras are faster that the GTR ........ check this out.. www.toprpm.com . the dark blue supra was my brother's car, and he was driving at that race. then he sold it.

well i think would be a good road race match up would be a stock 1998 r34 gtr v-spec vs a stock 1997 supra rz, well just for kicks

at the start the skyline would jump because of AWD but later on at about 1/8th mile the supra would catch back up and beat him because awd while rolling is nothing but dead weight thats what i think would happen but until skylines come to the US of A and start beating supras i will say the supra is faster lol

It has allways been my oppinion that a Skyline is a respectable drag car, but because of the all wheel drive it is more likley to domminate the scene in a road race type setting, and not so much in the 1/4 mile. Ryan

Well considering that it depends on the race, an all out race, the skyline is going to win and I'll tell you why. Being a fully modded car means also taking stuff off, or out of the car. When doing your research, you'll notice that the fastest supra (and I mean all out not a 1/4 mile) in the world has a (skyline)RB26DETT motor in it. and the fastest Skyline in the world is not AWD for the very reason of weight. It has a (Supra) 2JZ-GTE motor in it. And the Fastest RX-7 in the world also has a supra motor in it as well. being a completely modded to the teeth and every possible thing you can do, it's going to be a skyline.

is it just me or are these questions about which one will win is stupid. too many questions about supra and skyline has been asked and no one agrees on the answer. i am not certain but it seems like flyingmkiv knows his cars so i would say the skyline would win.
