Flying the Dodo

...in GTA3

Is anybody good at it? Before today, my record was 7 seconds, I didn't know how to keep it in the air. I read a FAQ on flying it though, and I just had a 42 second run before crashing into a skyscraper on Staunton Island...I'm getting better everytime though

In that FAQ, the guy had times that people had sent in and proved valid through a screen shot...he had 7 people on the list that had flown for over 10000 seconds, one guy by far blew everybody away with what it believed to be a world record 178,000 second flight. Isn't that like hours? Or days? I'd give up...

Apparently if you fly it far enough in one direction you see a ghost town.

Iv seen screen shots of it but they were a bit fuzzy.
Apprently you can not land on it, and just pass through any buildings there, but it is the bank from the opening sequence of the game.

However my current mission is to get a Dodo to the Mafia house in the 1st Island, and fly off the edge of the cliff and land on the light house.
Its a real mission getting the plane there with out it getting blown up or crashed to bits.
But once there I can get to the light house. I just can't yet land on it with out falling off.

Somehow I did a 13 second flight in the airport where you get it. What do you get when you finish that list of cars that you have to steal thats in the first city? I never got the ice-cream truck so I never found out.

When you deliver all the trucks to that garage, you can go back in whenever you want, and the walls are lined with GTA icons with the different truck names above them. Walk into the icon of the truck you want, and you get that truck. There's also a garage just like it on Shoreside Vale, except it's all the cars. Also, the crane just outside the Portland truck garage, if you deliver all the emergency vehicles (police car, fire truck, ambulance, tank, FBI car, Barracks OL...I think thats it), then you can get any of those from there whenever you want as well. I did that, and now I always go there and pick me up an FBI car, I like them.

BTW, If you want an Ice Cream Truck, do the fire truck missions. You'll usually come across an Ice Cream Truck on fire, and once you put it out, get out of the fire truck and take it.

Cool beans, thanks man! I've always been a fan of the good ol' yellow taxis, they seem to handle the best.

It's easyer to get the Ice Cream truck if you do the third[?] mission for the Diablos.

Yeah, but I neglected to do any of those missions before I killed the mob leader, so now the mob, the triads, and the diablos always blows up my car when I try and do the race.

:hehehe:

I have like every gang in every island after me

I think my favorite car is the Mafia Sentinel...I love the regular Sentinels, they're like BMW 5-series or something, but the Mafia one looks way cooler in grey with the spoiler, rear window louvers and ground effects kit

The FBI car is fun to drive too, and the Kuruma does good reverse donuts

I always liked flipping the Lambo to see how many flips I could get. I tihnk I got 3 full flips with like a super-insane stunt bonus and a couple full rotations.
