Have a '98 Silverado ExCab. There are what appears to be light lenses in the doors. Are there supposed to be lights in there?

If they're a clear plastic with small red ends the answer is probably yes, they should have bulbs in them.

Re: Door Lights
Yes they are. Should the unit just pop out of the door? I tried, but heard too much "cracking".

Re: Door Lights
Don't try to pop the lens off. You will be getting the super glue out.
The whole housing comes out together, lense and backing. Use a flat screwdriver and pop out the end that is closest to the rear bumper first. Put a new bulb in and replace. Takes about 45 seconds. I went and pulled mine just to be sure. There are three catches. One on the end nearest the door hinge (front of vehicle) and one on top and bottom close to the rear. James |
