HEY GUYS, i would like to ask a question, well i just finished replacing the head and intake gaskets on my 2003 impala 3.4, both sets were shot, upon starting my car to check for leaks, the car started right up but idles real rough CEL light is also on and a foul rotten egg smell comes up all of the sudden, (good thing there are no leaks after car being on about an hour) car continues to run rough though, what could this problem be, one thing i noticed is that at one of the fuel pressure lines the one by the torx screw is loose but it wont tighten anymore, i dont remember if this was like this before teardown, can someone please help....thanks in advance robert

Re: 2003 IMPALA intake and head repair cel light
You need to find out what the code was. Far as the smell... Sure hope you haven't ruined the cat. That would stink. (nyuk nyuk)

hey walrusinc, thanks for replying, actually i did run some codes (autozone did not read it for me they charged me 175.00 to borrow the scanner ) i checked and it was a PO300 multicylinder misfire, i started with the most obvious plugs and wires, my son had bought some bosch plats ( I READ HERE TO DUMP THOSE ), so i changed them to AC delcos got new wires and BAM BAM the car started to purr like a kitten, 18 hour job total but a major headache gone. i punched the gas and this car can move real quick now. now hopefully i can enjoy it for years to come, i was ready to dump it and i am an IMPALA GUY
