Exclamation need car

i want a car that is pretty quick but isnt going to bust my wallet. im definetaly going to go with used because this will be my first car. i have about 4 grand. i want a car that isnt really slow. i was looking at a 3000GT but i would like to have some other options. input would be awesome.

A 3000 GT isn't cheap to maintain, nor is it cheap to insure (especially if it's your first car). 4 grand would get you in an early 90s 3k GT, condition may vary. Maybe a Camaro/Firebird/Mustang? 240 SX?

I got my civic for 4500. I think with that budget you need to be looking for something economnical and smart. not a fast car that will just break and cost you more money.
