Recall info requested

I heard, about two months ago that Toyota was recalling 200-something to 2006 Tundra's and 4 runners for some kind of problem with the steering or brakes. Whats going on? Anybody heard this?

I have a 95 4runner. I received a recal notice on 1990-1995 models. It is regarding the steering relay rod braking when the tires hit something on a turn. They are replacing it free of charge with a stronger one.

Thanks. I will probably not wait for the recall notice and go right to my dealer and get it replaced.

the recall for a 4runner steering relay rod is not the same for a tundra seeing that a tundra doesn't have a steering relay rod, it has rack and pinion steering. tundras, sequoias, and 2003-present 4runners all have a recall for front lower Ball joints. u should get letter but take it to the dealer. they'll tell you if its eligible by punching in your VIN

Thanks, I've already talked to Toyota and they said my truck is in the recall. I can wait for the recall letter or just take it to a dealer.
