88 dl wagon clutch how to????

i was wondering if any of you could help me find info on swapping out the clutch on a 88 dl wagon. we are having trouble disconnecting the linkage and were wondering if there is some kind of trick to getting it disconnected.

Pull the motor instead of the trans. Much easier to work from above than from below.
