Does the squeal occur with the brake is in use, or when not in use?

Re: 2005 - 300 with brake squeal

All fixed up but thanks anyway.
Passenger side rear shoe was jammed. Top of shoe was totally worn down to the rotor and bottom was brand new. Looks like shoe was not properly seated against the rotor when changed by garage last april before we purchased car. Replaced all the shoes on the back, cleaned up the housing and lubricated the pistons. The rotor was ok because when the shoe was seated properly the scar in the rotor was above the shoe. Found the bill for the brake job and took back to the dealer where it was serviced. Of course it was not there fault!
