96 with oil in coolant reservoir

Just rolled my Grandad's 96 Grand Prix in the driveway. At 86, he's decided to quit driving.

Upon inspection I found oil in the coolant reservoir. The oil level was normal on the stick, but then he's only driven it 600 miles in over a year.

Can oil get in the coolant from the intake manifold gasket? If not, am I looking at a cracked block?

yes, oil in the coolant is the first sign of the intake gasket failure. External leakage around the seam between the intake and heads/block is a secondary sign.

Does the 96 3.4L have the same cheapo plastic gasket like my 02 Venture had? (Been through that mess already $$$$)
