In progress NISMO R32-Drifter

Well this is just a side project from a leftover R32(engine and gearboxand propably wheels used for a 200SX)but I used this as a practise to improve my skills...
The R32 has the NISMO 'bodykit',painted Tamiya Sliver leaf(not polished/waxed),window trim is painted flat black and the underbody is fully detail painted and blackwashed...

now I have to problems/questions:

Question 1:
What wheels look better on the car?

a)The stock wheels(I dont really like that option I putted it just in case...)

b)The racing BBS with Yokohama slicks:

c)The RS Watanabe wheels:

The wheels I like more are the BBS ones and I'm thinking painting them silver leaf or flat black. However looking at the car pics the white starts grwoing in me...(Another option is crome lip and anodized red mesh)

Question 2:

The bonnet is already painted Silver leaf however I'm thinking of painting it a nice red(Candy red or a bright Italian red)as some drifters do...Thatt might look nice but I think that might attract from the great lines of the R32 which are enchanced with the nismo sideskirts...Opinions???

Ahhh...and one last pic,the car that this model is 'loosely' based(Not going for a exact replica):

Sorry for the long posts I'm wainting opinions/suggestions...

nice project!

I like the second wheels the most, although, I cannot really see them very clear, but I m just a fan of black wheels on high-performance cars.

and for the bonnet, keep it nice and silver (or some nice carbon-effect.

Go with C. I think it is better for you to sand the mold lines away.

Re: Re: In progress NISMO R32-Drifter

I don't know how specific you want to get with this car. With my drifter R32 I used the oilpan and tranny from the Calsonic R33 to make it RWD. It fit perfectly once trimmed. That, or cut the front axles out of the existing kit. It's gonna be hard to convince people of an AWD drifter. Just a thought....

I think that C black would look the best. Keep us posted on the build too.

I fell in love with the rims in the first pic, so I'm stuck with C too!

You are right of course..But this started just as a side project for fun so I forgot sanding the moldline...Now with the paintjob dinished and the window trim(big pain!!!) in place I don't think I have the power to go back strip-sand-repaint-retrim!!!!

Thanks for the info but in this project I'm not so concerned about this kind of details!!!The car is missing both engine and gearbox so the left overs from all-wheel drive are just a small detail! However thenaks for the valuable info...I think I might use it in a future project!

Also 4WD cars can drift!!!It's not a previlege of rear wheel drive cars!!!

As for the wheels I'm also stucked with the C wheels(In person look even better!)but not sure about the color!!!
The majority says black which was my original idea...however I'm thniking how they might look with chrome lip and gold or red mesh!!!

Once again thanks for the suggestions and I'll be back with more(blury ) pics soon...
