V-10 Viper race cars
The Viper was the first of the 'new age' front-engined rear wheel drive GT cars. It sparked renewed interest in top flight GT racing.
But... Dodge didn't homologate the Viper Competition Coupe for the 24 Hours of Le Mans or the American Le Mans Series. http://americanlemans.com/home/index.aspx Dodge Viper Competition Coupe The Competition Coupe does race in the Speed World Challenge where Tommy Archer won the Drivers' Championship last year in a Viper Competition Coupe. Dodge has revised the Competion Coupe for 2005. http://www.world-challenge.com/news/05press35.html http://www.3rracing.com/
